I am interested in solar hot water for our house. We are a family of four - not sure what size of tank we need. We have space underneath the house to have a split system, i.e. the solar hot water panels on the roof and the water tank underneath the house. This should replace an electric water heater.

Please have a look also at my other project for solar electricity. The Western side of the roof is 7m x 15m. The Easter side is covered by trees. I attach a photo - it was taken today at 3pm on 12.3.2011.

I am looking for advice.
